Stay safe when you buy

Findino helps buyers and sellers connect for local deals. Before agreeing to buy, take time to check the item, ask questions, and decide whether you're comfortable with the deal.

Meet safely

• Meet in a busy public place during daylight.
• For a high-value item, bring someone with you.
• Don't invite someone you don't know to your home or go somewhere isolated.

Inspect before paying

• Compare the item with the listing photos and description.
• Test its main functions before handing over payment.
• For phones and laptops, check the model, battery condition, and included accessories.
• Ask about damage, repairs, and known problems.
• Don't post or send a full serial number or IMEI publicly.

Pay carefully

For local deals, arrange payment directly with the seller after you've inspected the item. Be cautious if someone asks for advance money, a token payment, booking fee, courier charge, or payment to “release” the product.

Never share your OTP, UPI PIN, password, or banking details. You do not need to scan a QR code or enter your UPI PIN to receive money. Check your own banking or UPI app to confirm a payment; don't rely on screenshots.

Keep a record

Keep your discussion in Findino chat where possible. It gives you a record of what was discussed and lets you report suspicious messages. Don't click unfamiliar links or move money because someone is pressuring you to act quickly.

Understand seller badges

A seller badge means only what Findino says it means. For example, an ID-verified badge means the seller completed Findino's stated identity check. It does not confirm that the item is genuine, accurately described, or safe to buy. Inspect the item yourself.

Report a concern

Use Findino's report option if a listing or user seems suspicious, misleading, abusive, or unsafe. Include the listing and relevant messages. If you believe money has been stolen, contact your bank or payment provider promptly and report the incident to the appropriate authorities.

Findino's role

Findino provides a platform for buyers and sellers to find and contact each other. For local deals, buyers and sellers arrange inspection, payment, and handover directly. Findino does not inspect or authenticate listed items, handle payment, or arrange delivery for these deals. Findino may review reports about listings or user conduct.
