Meet-up guide: a safe handover checklist
Findino deals happen in person, so the meet-up is where trust is confirmed. Run through this checklist every time:
- Pick a public place in daylight. A busy cafe, a mall, or the area near a police station for high-value items. Never a private address, yours or theirs.
- Bring someone if you can, and tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be back.
- Inspect before you pay. Power the device on, match the battery health and serial number to the listing, test the camera, speakers, ports and buttons.
- Pay only at handover, after inspection. No advance, no token money, no booking amount. Buyer and seller settle payment directly between themselves.
- Never share OTPs or your UPI PIN, and never scan a QR code to “receive” money. Findino will never ask for these.
- Keep the chat on Findino until the deal is done, so there is a record if anything goes wrong.
If the other person pressures you to change the location, pay early, or move to another app, walk away and report them.
