Battery health and serial number: mandatory for iPhones and MacBooks
When you post an iPhone or a MacBook, two fields are mandatory: battery health and the serial number. Both appear on your listing. This is the rule that answers the buyer's biggest doubt: is this device genuine, and how tired is its battery?
Find battery health on iPhone
Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health and Charging. Enter the Maximum Capacity percentage exactly as shown.
Find battery health on MacBook
System Settings, then Battery. Enter the battery health or cycle count shown there.
Find the serial number
- iPhone: Settings, then General, then About.
- MacBook: Apple menu, then About This Mac. It is also printed on the underside of the laptop.
Buyers may check the serial number on the manufacturer's coverage page before meeting you. Never post a photo of someone else's device or a serial from a box you do not own. Mismatched details are the fastest way to get an ad removed.
